Effective from publication. AltStream is an independent editorial comparison of live cam platforms. This page explains what data the site handles, why, and how you can have it corrected or removed.

What this AltStream privacy policy covers

Short version: we hold what you send us plus basic technical information about your visit, and nothing more. There are no accounts, no profiles and no payments on this site.

Data we keep:

• Messages you send us. Your email address, your name if you include it, and the content of the message.
• Technical logs. IP address, browser type, approximate location derived from the IP, pages viewed and visit times.
• Cookie identifiers. Small markers that remember your language choice and show which pages are read.

We use this to answer questions, keep the catalogue working in several interface languages, spot abuse, and see which comparisons readers actually use. Messages stay for as long as an open question needs them; technical logs stay for the limited period set by our hosting and analytics providers.
